The Haunted Hayride is scheduled for the last two weekends of October and Halloween night.
“It goes through the woods and through the Christmas trees,” “There are a bunch of ghosts and ghouls coming at you — and a bunch of zombies.”
Eerie fog — generated by strategically-placed smoke machines — and spooky music will permeate the woods. The hayride will arrive at various scenes of carnage, including a plane crash and a missile attack. Zombies will accost the hayride, and patrons will be able to defend themselves with paintball guns.
“It’s family-oriented. It’s scary, but it’s not too scary. We have little signals we give the actors out in the woods. If it’s just adults only, we spice it up a good bit. If there are a lot of little kids, we tone it down.”
