Considered to be Pensacola’s best restaurant, Jackson’s Steakhouse has a national reputation among foodies and mainstream media as the go-to steakhouse when visiting the Florida Panhandle.
Jackson’s occupies the ground floor of a historically relevant and revitalized 1860s-era building that overlooks Plaza Ferdinand — where, on behalf of the United States, General Andrew Jackson accepted the transfer of the Florida territory from Spain, July 1821, subsequently raising the American flag in Pensacola for the first time.
Located downtown, it was easy to find parking. Atmosphere is high end, but with an historic, Southern feel. The menu is easy to read and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. Jackson’s had specials that night, but nothing confusing. Steaks were cooked to order and very juicy.
Overall, it was an excellent experience with great food, exceptional atmosphere and fair prices. Absolutely the best fine dining in Pensacola.
